Chaukhtatgyi Paya (Chak Htat Gyi Buddha) – Reclining Buddha

Reclining Buddha
Also known as the Reclining Buddha, Chaukhtatgyi Paya, is an entirely giant 65 meter long reclining Buddha. In the past, there was a large Buddha statue standing in the same place, but several years ago it collapsed, and a reclining version took place of it.
Kept in a huge metal shed, the Buddha reminds all visitors of a massive airplane hanger. The crown meticulously decorated with a large number of twinkle diamonds and gems and the feet etched with inscriptions indicating the characteristics and symbols of the Buddha attract attention of all travelers at the first sight.
Kandawgyi Park
Opposite to the chaotic and hectic downtown area of Yangon, the ground of Kandawgyi Park, one of the most luxuriant evergreen lake parks in Yangon is quite peaceful.
